Supply Chain Management

Stadium Asia’s Hong Kong & China-based purchasing teams provide global procurement services and local sourcing expertise to ensure professional management of the client’s supply chain. Our philosophy is to develop ‘preferred suppliers’ in each commodity code and to underpin these with robust alternative sources for all core activity.

The Dongguan region has a highly developed supplier base and is home to a vast number of foreign direct investment corporations. Our vendor base is tightly monitored against specified performance criteria according to the Quality Management System. These measures are reported periodically as part of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) feedback reviews.

We continue to work to develop relationships with our supply base to provide our clients with reduced inventory risk, flexibility and total visibility. Cost reduction and benchmarking activity is at the core of our material procurement function and reflects our Western client philosophy.

Manufacture

Stadium Asia provides end-to-end manufacturing from PCB assembly to full system build, test services and packaging solutions. The main line in-house facilities include fully automated micro-BGA & Surface Mount PCB assembly (5 lines), lead-free / ROHS & WEEE compliance, automatic through-hole component insertion, line-dedicated wave solder and peripheral services including conformal coating, potting and coil winding, etc.

We have specific expertise in managing product safety approvals for North America, Australia, Argentina, China, Korea, South Africa, UK and wider Europe: ETL, cETL, UL, cUL, CSA, VDE, SEMKO, DEMKO, SEV, SETI, KEMA, GS, CE, SAA, CCC, Korea, E-Mark for Europe, PSE Mark for Japan.

• Stadium Asia has adopted IPC-A-610 class 2 as the minimum workmanship standard for all PCB assembly and all of our operators are approved to this standard.
• The business operates under a company wide Total Quality culture. The Quality Management System conforms to ISO9001:2000 and incorporates an internal audit process that monitors monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all departments.
• Stadium Asia provides a management service for customers wishing to submit their product to approved Chinese test laboratory for the securing of product safety approvals and compliance certification.

Product Life Cycle Management

In recognition that today’s technology means faster evolving products, shorter shelf lives and shorter replacement timescales, we manage thes product life cycle through tight business processes using sophisticated planning tools across multiple disciplines. New Product Introduction (NPI) is at the heart of our organisation, often looking at planning horizons of 18 months and more. Cross-functional teams with dedicated customer responsibility ensure that time-to-market is optimized and end-of-life risk factors are controlled.

Logistics

The established global logistics management function at Stadium Asia manages individually tailored distribution programs for each customer. The logistics service is fully integrated with Stadium’s real-time scheduling and planning system, ensuring permanent reflection of our clients current needs. In many cases shipments pass direct to the end customer, with zero handling or inspection necessary by the partner client.
